Christopher Oliva is a director and editor working across narrative film, television, music videos, and brand campaigns.

In 2025 he was one of fifty filmmakers chosen worldwide for the Creators Lab with Playlab Films, where he wrote and directed the short film OGRO under the mentorship of Paolo Sorrentino. His earlier short film, SPACEMAN., has played 43 film festivals and won 14 awards.

As an editor, he cut the feature Rupture, starring Billy Zane, which won Best Saudi Film at the 2021 Red Sea International Film Festival, and the feature Best Thing, which won Best Feature Film at Not Film Fest in 2026. He is currently editing the feature Running Dry, on which he also holds a story credit. He has edited three music videos for Maher Zain, which together have earned over 300 million views. They include Tahayya, the official FIFA World Cup 2022 anthem video with Humood, and Qalbi Fil Madinah with Harris J.

He has also collaborated with Petrol Advertising as an editor and story producer on campaigns for Call of Duty, Doom Eternal, and Saints Row, and his earlier commercial work includes Crest, Aussie, and Heartgard Plus.

He has taught directing and editing at the College of DuPage since 2014 and holds an MFA in Digital Cinema from DePaul University. Christopher is based in Chicago and Los Angeles.
